This class will focus on the basic information needed to paint in watercolor, such as paper quality, paper types, and types of brushes.  We will also talk about the techniques of laying down different types of washes to achieve different effects.  We will practice painting clouds, trees, and loose flowers.  At the end of the class, we will paint a small landscape.  Your registration fee covers the cost of your tuition and all materials needed for the class.  Bring nothing but your enthusiasm!

Terri is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana.  She took high school art, but put art aside while pursuing her career as a petroleum engineer. When she retired to become a full-time mother, she began painting in watercolor as a hobby.  She has been involved in art leagues in Louisiana and Texas.  She has been with CAL for over 13 years and has a Lifetime Achievement Award from Lone Star Art Guild.  Her favorite subject is still life, but in the last 5 years, she has experimented more with painting landscapes, dogs, and flowers.
