CAL's mission is to promote the enrichment of our community through the arts. The vision of the Conroe Art League is to support artists at every level and to promote art in the community, providing educational classes and workshops for adults and youth, offering opportunities for shared art experiences, providing scholarships for continuing art education, sponsoring exhibits and juried shows in the Madeley Fine Art Gallery and venues throughout the community, and encouraging patrons to support and purchase works of artists through gallery events and multi-media marketing efforts. CAL's goals are to encourage growth and creativity of individual members, establish a standard of ethics and cooperation among our membership, and to provide a high quality art experience to the community. The CAL Gallery is a historical building provided to us by the City of Conroe. We participate in various community events and outreach, and we look forward to you joining us in making art available to everyone. As a member, you may display your artwork at our beautiful Madeley Fine Art Gallery. 127 Simonton Conroe. "Take in" dates are posted on our calendar. Members may also display artwork in the County Commisioners Courthouse, City Hall and Conroe Visitors Bureau building. Other wonderful benefits include juried shows, learning new crafts or perfecting your own, entry in banner contests, remote art display, and possibility of your own mini show. We invite you to join the CAL Community FaceBook Group. Members of this group are friends, family, fans, patrons, sponsors, volunteers, and/or members of CAL. The mission of CAL is to encourage artistic development and cultivate an appreciation for the visual arts through education, exhibitions, and community outreach. |
