Make a donation to CAL and win this beautiful wood turned bowl, “Celebrate The Wood”,  donated by David Bartell.  " This is a piece of Texas Mesquite turned on a lathe.  The shape and features are inspired from the many beautiful examples of Native American pottery and basketry.  The bead-like embellishment is actually cut into the wood, then over 2000 burned in lines were added to create the look of beads.  The pattern is inked and painted into the feature and is meant to draw attention to the beautiful color and grain of the Mesquite.   Mesquite is a survivor.  The wood is very stable and hard and a piece, such as this, will last for generations and maintain the beautiful color."

For each $10 donation one ticket will be entered into the raffle.  The winning ticket will be drawn on January 11th at the Artist Reception.  You do not have to be present to win.  Support the arts and win a beautiful piece of art.  Raffle tickets may be purchased on-line or in the gallery at 127 Simonton Street, Conroe, where you can see the piece in person.
