Historically accurate portraits of the indigenous peoples of this continent brought to life with a limited color palette of only four colors. It is said that art should disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed. Perhaps, in some small way, these portraits might comfort those who remember and disturb those who would like to forget. This is why I paint... to give a voice to those who have been silenced, to give eyes to those who do not see and to give a heart to those who do not want to care.
