Help CAL provide a growing number of diverse programs, classes, exhibits, and workshops.
Make a donation to CAL and have the opportunity to win this "Quilted Vessel of Possibilities #1", made and donated by Carol Roach.
This vessel, made from low-fire red clay and built using the slab method, is entirely hand-built, hand-carved, and hand-stamped. It is finished with ceramic glazes to evoke a quilt-like design. Melted glass inside the piece adds a surprising textural element. Inspired by the quilts her grandmother made during her childhood, Carol’s work reflects the art of assembling individual pieces to create a unified whole.
For each $10 donation one ticket will be entered into the raffle. Tickets may be purchased online or in the gallery at 127 Simonton Street, Conroe, where you can also see the item in person.
The winning ticket will be drawn on November 8th, at the Artist Reception. You do not have to be present to win.

In 2025, we raised over $13,500, all awarded to graduating seniors in Montgomery County to help further their art education.
Panel pick-up: Panels will be available during regular gallery hours. Just sign the register at the docent desk to check one out.
Deadline to return completed panels: December 23.
Early submissions may be turned in to the Gallery Manager—please, no wet work. Please register your panel before turning in.

OCTOBER FEATURE WALL ARTIST
|
|
|
Brenda McDougall steps into the spotlight this October as our Feature Artist, bringing her bold, uplifting, and often witty perspective to the gallery walls.
Brenda’s work is as vibrant as her personality—bold strokes, uplifting energy, and the occasional wink of humor that makes viewers smile. Her art isn’t just something to look at, it’s something to feel. She believes the best reward is when someone not only admires her work but also experiences a spark of connection—because for Brenda, that’s what art is all about: creating joy, laughter, and a little bit of magic through color.
