Help CAL provide a growing number of diverse programs, classes, exhibits, and workshops.
Make a donation to CAL and have the opportunity to win this beautiful mesquite wood turned vessel made and donated by David Bartell. "Celebrate The Wood" is a piece of Texas Mesquite turned on a lathe. The shape and features are inspired from the many beautiful examples of Native American pottery and basketry. The bead-like embellishment is actually cut into the wood, then over 2000 burned in lines were added to create the look of beads. The pattern is inked and painted into the feature and is meant to draw attention to the beautiful color and grain of the Mesquite.
For each $10 donation one ticket will be entered into the raffle. Tickets may be purchased online or in the gallery at 127 Simonton Street, Conroe, where you can also see the painting in person.
The winning ticket will be drawn on January 11th at the General Meeting.

Every year CAL members donate their talent and time by creating a masterpiece on a 12” x 12” panel that is then auctioned to raise money for our Student Awards Show in May. In 2024, CAL raised over $11,000 which was awarded to high school seniors in Montgomery County to help further their art education. Completed panels are due back not later than December 28th. Please turn in your panels as soon as they are completed. Deliver to the Gallery Manager during regular gallery ours. No wet work, please. Please register your panel prior to turning in. Rod Mcdougall, Brenda McDougall, Heidi Williams, and Debra Riley planned the theme and decorated the tree. The tree includes ornaments made by Brenda that spell out all the different activities we have available. The CAL logo will be displayed along with a special description. While stopping by to see it, take a photo of yourself with the tree and post to social media.
