THE FUTURE OF THE JC AWARD
|
In April 2019 Juan Cantavella approached the CAL Board and proposed he donate earnings from his CAL classes in the amount of $400 per month to a monthly award as his means of “giving back”. After a period of time several members donated to keep the award going in Juan’s honor. Those funds will be exhausted after the May 2023 Juan Cantavella Award. If you would like to see this program continue, please consider donating to the JC Award fund.”

A new benefit to our CAL members is the addition of Studio 127. Located on the second floor of the gallery, Studio 127 will offer members the equipment and setup for photographing, or painting from life, still life arrangements. This can be used by painters, photographers, and 3D artists that want to photograph their pieces. One segment of the equipment is by Replica Surfaces and you can see a short video here. Reserve the studio for yourself, or for yourself and a member friend to work together. Reservations are made by contacting Debra Riley at gallerymanager@conroeartleague.com. Debra will schedule the studio calendar and provide you information about using the equipment.
