The Student Show and the May Artist Reception were held on Saturday. A highlight this year was the addition of guest artist, Anat Ronen, street artist and muralist from Houston. Anat arrived at the gallery at 9:00am on Saturday and by 4:00 had completed an 8' x 8' 3d anamorphic image in the Cal courtyard. Many guests dropped in during the day to see her work in process and Anat gave a talk at the reception about her own art journey. "I was asked to paint an interactive piece in a few hours, and I usually do a panel. But they had this wall, and the floor, and so I could go beyond the 8' x 8' and make this fun painting for people of all ages to enjoy for a couple of days." -Anat Ronen
See the impressive size of Anat's work in comparison to CAL member Marilyn Colbert. Thanks for stopping by to admire her larger than life work.
