UPDATE ON COVID-19 (CORONA VIRUS)

Update on COVID-19 Corona Virus

Yesterday, both Montgomery County and the City of Conroe issued Disaster Declarations in regard to the spread of the Corona Virus in our community. CLICK HERE for a copy of that declaration. In short, it calls for all events of 250 persons or more in public spaces to cease and urges that any events in private facilities be cancelled. The County Declaration is in effect for 30 days and the City Declaration is in effect for 7 days. Both may be  be extended. Here's how this impacts our arts community:

Woodlands Waterway Arts Festival Postponed

The WWAF, scheduled for April 4-5, has been postponed. A rescheduled date will be announced by The Woodlands Art Council.

Rising Stars and Legends Festival Postponed

The RS&LT Festival, scheduled for March 12-21, has also been postponed. A rescheduled date will be announced by the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance.

The Conservatory At Alden Bridge Art Show Cancelled

Scheduled for March 19, has been cancelled.  Artists will be contacted if event is rescheduled.

Conroe Art League's General Meeting Cancelled

Our General Meeting, scheduled for next Saturday, March 21, has been cancelled. We will, instead, publish an e-mail on that date with all the matters that were to be discussed at that meeting.

City of Conroe Kidz Fest Cancelled

Scheduled for April 25 has been cancelled.

The Gallery will remain open

The Gallery will maintain our regular Tuesday through Saturday schedule with the Madeley National on display. Some classes may be cancelled subject to the teacher's decision. Please contact your teacher for further details.

What we are doing to protect members and guests

We have implemented a new daily regimen for our docents consisting of disinfecting all surfaces, doorknobs, railings and other areas throughout the day. The Docent Coordinator is emailing the details of this routine to all docents. If you are serving a docent shift, please be sure to take all the actions prescribed for the safety of all our members and guests.

If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
